Temporary Visitor Visa (9A)
It is issued to tourists as well as business visitors doing nonresident work such as meetings and sales calls. A tourist visa holder may not participate in continuing business in the Philippines. Most nationalities receive a 29 days visa-on-arrival, and it can be extended monthly for a limited period of time.

Special Work Permit (SWP)
It is a temporary working permit which can be issued to foreign nationals who shall engage in a short term assignment. It is valid only for 3 months and can extend up to another 3 months only. During this period, the status of the foreign national remains as a tourist.

Provisional Work Permit (PWP)
This permit is issued while the application for 9G or pre-arranged employee visa is in process. It is also valid for 3 months and extendable for another 3 months only. During this period, the status of the foreign national remains as a tourist.

Alien Employment Permit (AEP)
It authorize the foreign national to work in the Philippines. Securing AEP alone is not valid and cannot be used for working purposes. This is a pre-requisite requirement for Special Investors Resident Visa (SIRV), Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV), Treaty Traders (9D) Visa, or Special Non-Immigrant Visa (47A2).

It is the most common type of work visa that is issued by the Bureau of Immigration to foreign nationals who engage in gainful employment in the Philippines. It has multiple entry and exit privileges while working with a company registered under Philippine laws. PhP 85,000 for 1 year;

Treaty Trader Visa (9D)
A foreign investor may enter the Philippines as a treaty trader if he is a national of a country that has an agreement in place for the admission of treaty traders or investors. As of this writing, the Philippines has such agreements with the United States, Japan, and Germany. Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV)
Foreign nationals looking to retire in the Philippines can apply for a Special Resident Retiree’s Visa, which allows retirees to live and work in the Philippines, complete with multiple-entry authorization and a variety of benefits. It is a visa issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) upon endorsement by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) for foreign nationals and natural born Filipino citizens who would like to make the Philippines their second home or investment destination.

Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV)
Individuals who have made a significant investment in the Philippines can stay indefinitely by securing a special investor’s resident visa. Processing time can be completed in under a few weeks, depending on how much investment is made.

Special Visa for Employment Generation (SVEG)
Foreign nationals who establish sustainable enterprises and business can receive a special visa if they and their business provide gainful employment to ten (10) or more Filipino nationals. This is a multiple entry, non-immigrant visa.
